UNITE Easter Convention 2016

The 2016 UNITE Easter Convention will take place over two evenings this year, Tuesday 22nd and Wednesday 23rd March. This year we have the joy of having Bishop Glenn Lyons, Presiding Bishop of REACH SA as our speaker, and his theme for UNITE is “Love Ran Red”.

Usually the evenings run with the Coffee Shop being open an hour before the teaching session, but this year we’re hoping to do things differently by adding an EXPO element to the evenings as well as a Bookshop. So we super excited that the following organizations and groups will have displays and information over those two nights.

This year the BIG FIVE being featured are:

  • George Whitefield College (GWC)
  • Arise
  • U-Turn
  • St James Educational Trust
  • The Bible Translation Project for the Deaf/Hands with Words

The idea of the EXPO is to give organizations an opportunity to showcase their work and to give folk time to ask questions, pick up literature, sign up for newsletters, etc. Each organization will be allocated space and time to set up before the event. The EXPO will be open from 6.30pm till 7.30pm and then open again after the teaching session. Christian Book Discounters (CBD) will run a book table over the two nights and we’ll have our Coffee Shop operational downstairs in the Mills for light suppers, coffee & cake.
