DivorceCare is a special weekly seminar and support group for people who are eparated or divorced. It’s a place where you can be around people who understand what you are feeling. It’s a place where you can hear valuable information about ways to heal from the hurt of divorce.
This course runs every Tuesday evening for 13 weeks.

DIVORCE CARE FOR KIDS (DC4K)
DC4K is a special biblically-based group to help your children heal from the pain caused by a separation or divorce. DC4K provides your children with a safe and neutral place to recognize and learn to share their feelings. The weekly session topics helps them turn their sadness to hope and their anger to joy
This course runs concurrent with DivorceCare so whilst the parent is doing their session, the children cover the same topic to enable parent and child to communicate at home. In fact there is a parent page which the child takes home to do with the parent. It is not essential that the parent be doing DC.
Safekeepers – Facilitators whose focus is keeping the children safe and loved.
Secure environment – both in terms of physical safety and also that it is a safe and neutral place to open up and confide and share their feelings with the safekeepers
Activities’ – games (Game on finances), journalling, music, read aloud stories, projects (Stained glass window).
DVD Series – of children (friends) in a holiday environment who get together and put on a play. During this time various emotions and situations develop and the friends help one another. This raises real time emotions for those children attending the course and they learn to speak about it and deal with it.
Bible Stories and discussion time – Children gather around and listen and participate.
Food – Provide light snack supper. In addition we have snack times – specially designed textures for good feelings – breaking of bread – special time of relaxation, fun and getting to know the kids.
Geared for children Grades 1 – Grades 6.
