“The course was offered across the Pre-prep and Prep schools to our parent body.  The general consensus at the end of the course was that it was well worth doing.  Many couples had taken on board the lessons learned or had certainly examined their parenting styles.” Noel Andrews (H0D Bishops Pre-Prep)

“We found the Effective Parenting course to be fantastic.  The few hours a week are paying off in a changed perspective for life that is helping our family to live in a very harmonious way.  It has given us practical tips and overarching Godly principles that have given us confidence in parenting that we and our children have really benefitted from.”  Rob & Robyn Wright (Bishops Family)

“Effective parenting has provided us not only with new insights into parenting but has cemented the ‘common sense’ and loving approach which we know is the right way to parent yet do not always follow through with.  It has enriched both of us, not only in terms of, but as Christians.  It also answers some of the difficult questions we as parents face and gives a clear way to deal with and resolve these.” Sue & Steven Crosse (St Cyprians family)

Nine life-changing sessions.

Our kids are growing up in a culture that promises them fulfillment in a dizzying number of ways.  There are so many opportunities – and so many dangers – that confront our kids every day.

So what are you to do?

How do you raise effective kids in a defective world?

Without shying away from tough topics like discipline and teen rebellion, Chip Ingram offers thought-provoking principles and specific exercises to help you understand how to develop your child’s full
potential. The course is for all parents, single parents and grandparents and gives special hope to blended families and those in crisis.

SESSION 1 – 4:  Over-acting principles that will
change your understanding of the role of the parent and the role of God in the
process.

SESSION 5 – 7:  Practical lessons on discipline
including a biblical understanding, how to use discipline, and the
all-important attitudes that parents must maintain.

SESSION 8 – 9:  Five Smooth Stones for
parenting.  With the overwhelming supply of information on parenting these
sessions give parents simple keys they can cling to when the going gets rough.

With penetrating truth and sincere honesty, Chip Ingram shares the life lessons from his personal experience of raising four children.  He describes his failures and the challenges of teenage
rebellion.

And he reveals how the hand of God worked through it all to draw everyone in his family safely to God.

Indeed, with the fast pace of technology, the global village becoming smaller, and children growing up faster than ever before, how does one raise children so that they can be the best people that God created them to be.  Parenting successfully is an international thing.  It does not just happen.  If you want to know more about modeling a successful life for your children, disciplining effectively and loving the way that Christ loves, then don’t miss out on this course.
