Young Adults
Are you between the ages of 18 – post-matric and 24-ish? Then Young Adults is just the place for you! With vibrant, dedicated young leaders with fresh ideas and heaps of energy, the ministry focuses on the spiritual and social needs of people, just like you!
Young people know all about change, instability and technology; living in a fast-changing, post-modern world that sells them a lifestyle of materialism and immorality, it’s challenging to stay focused on Christ. The Young Adults Ministry is designed to keep young men and women on track, growing in their knowledge of God's word, and rooted in His service.
Young adults love socialising - at socials, camps and weekly Bible studies, deeper relationships are encouraged to grow – both with one another and with the Lord Jesus.
In 2009, we enjoyed a picnic on the beach together, spent an afternoon watching rugby, had an awesome potjie braai in Tokai forest and . . . yes, believe it – did a bit of barn dancing! Yee-haaaa! Our social committee is always thinking of new ways to hang out together and encourage friendships.
The core of our ministry is the Wednesday night Bible study. Young leaders – a guy and a girl – lead a group of about ten people. We are studying the gospel of John this year. We meet in the Children's Centre every Wednesday from 7.30pm till 9.15pm.
