Young Adults

Young Adults Ministry consists of a group of vibrant, dedicated young leaders with fresh ideas and heaps of energy. They fuel a ministry that focuses on the spiritual and social needs of people primarily between the ages of 18 – fresh out of school – to 24ish.

Young people know all about change, instability and technology; they live in a fast-changing, post-modern world that sells them a lifestyle of materialism and immorality, and tries to tear them away from Christ. The Young Adults Ministry is designed to keep young men and women on track, focused on God's word, and rooted in His service.

Young adults crave a fulfilling social life, so we help them to meet Christians who are dealing with similar issues. At socials, camps and weekly Bible studies, deep friendships are forged, and an even deeper love for our Lord is fostered.

In 2009, we enjoyed a picnic on the beach together, spent an afternoon watching rugby and . . . yes, believe it – had a barn dance! There was much laughter and many opportunities to share each other's burdens. Our social committee is always thinking of new ways to promote bonding. We have some ideas up our sleeves for next year . . .

The core of our ministry is the Wednesday night Bible study. Young leaders – a guy and a girl – lead a group of about ten people. When you join, you start studying the book of Mark. Then, the next year, your group studies Romans, and the year after that the topic is Bible Overview. If you're keen to join, please phone the church office. We'd love to get you connected!

We meet in the Children's Centre every Wednesday from 7.30pm till 9.15pm.
